The parity release — everything the web player can do, the iPhone app now does too. Now Playing was rebuilt around a single continuous movement: the artwork travels between the mini player and the full screen instead of cross-fading, and you can catch the swipe halfway and throw it back. Albums with motion artwork play it full-screen behind the player and on the Lock Screen. The whole Apple Music editorial layer landed — Made For You, Apple Radio, editorial charts, curated playlists and artist spotlights — alongside a rebuilt Browse and Discover with real curated artwork (and no more washed-out, over-blurred tiles). Listening Parties let a room hear the same song at the same moment; collaborative playlists let people build one together; public profiles let you share what you've made. Plus Concerts for artists you follow, Stats and a shareable Wrapped recap, dedicated Radio and Podcasts hubs, and a search with proper filter chips, a top result and browsable genre pages. Shared links now open the right screen instead of dropping you on the home tab. And it should cost you less battery: animations, visualisers and motion artwork stand down on their own under Low Power Mode or when the phone runs warm.
