Update for the crash: adding a song to a playlist took the whole app down, every time, and that's fixed. Wireless playback got the next-biggest repair — transitions were stretching the incoming song's tempo and nudging its speed several times a second, which the phone's own output handles fine but a HomePod, car stereo or Bluetooth speaker turns into crackling and tracks that seem to skip themselves; over those routes it now falls back to a short clean fade. Sing was taking the band with the singer, because the kick, bass and snare sit dead-centre in a mix just like a lead vocal does — it now removes the voice and puts the low end and the cymbals back, and you'll hear the difference on the first song you try. Podcasts are rebuilt on Apple's catalogue: the full curated browse page, real categories, search that reaches inside shows to find episodes, and hosts, listener reviews, trailers and "listeners also subscribed" on every show. Collaborative playlists can now be ended, and once one is, everyone in the room can save it to their library, pin it or download it as their own copy. A song the catalogue can't serve no longer sits on a spinner forever — it's skipped after a few seconds, and you pick how many in Settings. And lyrics get two options that were web-only: hide the per-line share button so long lines use the full width, and choose whether the active line animates.
