This release finishes the AutoMix work. The style selector is Apple's iOS 27 catalogue walked as data — eight strategies, a genre gate read off Apple's own tables, and the decoded danceability and acousticness thresholds — so a hip-hop pair, a dance pair and a pop pair each get the mix Apple would give them, and a pair Apple refuses to beat-match is joined rather than forced. Dead-air joins open exactly where the outgoing record goes dark; a song that opens quietly over a long silent tail gets Apple's smart cross-fade, entering on the bar before it gets loud. Seeking near a planned mix follows the four rules Music.app logs: a seek before the open keeps the plan, a seek at or past it voids it and re-plans behind Apple's 10.5 s safety margin. The exit law sits on the authored grid, the Mixing badge comes down when the outgoing has actually left, the deck path's 0.26 s hole at the seam is closed, and the watchdog that fired a mix far too early stands down. Apple's six iOS 27 genre styles are transcribed lane for lane with their AURemixFX effects rack; on iOS 26 they play as the closest iOS 26 style, exactly as Apple's iOS 26 does. Lyrics: with Sing engaged the vocal isolator adds roughly 0.65 s of latency, and the lyrics were running that far ahead of the voice you heard — the lyric clock now subtracts the live render latency, measured at 0 ms on the phone. Lines change on their cue rather than on a 6 Hz timer, blurred lines wrap at the column, and Japanese lyrics carry a pronunciation guide. Sound Check follows Apple Music's law as read from AudioToolboxCore: a loud master is cut in full with no floor, a quiet one is lifted only within the headroom under −1 dBTP and never past +20 dB, and an album is levelled by its loudest track so a quiet song on a loud record stays quiet. App and website now apply the same correction to the same song. Also in 6.4: the equaliser is Apple Music's — ten bands, Apple's 22 presets and a ±12 dB preamp; recommendations run on-device with the same engine as the website and Autoplay fills the queue without a server call; the Shuffle chip cycles off, Shuffle and Smart Shuffle; the heart pops like the web's; Library lists keep their order on name ties and sort descending correctly; pre-order albums show Apple's "Coming <date>" badge; a sleep timer lives in the ⋯ menu; Clear Queue asks first; resuming after a long pause rebuilds the stream instead of failing; search shows "Showing results for…" when it corrected you; and motion covers play by Apple's rule.
